The campsite was very clean and moreover, pleasant despite the cold, the shower blocks were heated. That was fantastic as I was freezing. The kitchen area had a microwave, a kettle, a sponge, dishwashing liquid, a washing machine, in short: unexpected luxury! I will return with great pleasure! Very clean, looked... read more after and comfortable wash areas and amenities, tidy bin areas etc handy plug areas, freezers and a shop and friendly, professional and kind staff who were more than happy and patient with any requests or assistance that arose over our stay. A very quaint and serene atmosphere we are planning to return in the warmer months.

Nice size fire pits that you can hire. Dogs allowed. Occasionally they have a licensed bar here which is lovely to sit by on a hot summers day. Good for families.

We walked to Stonehenge which took about 2 hours on a slow walk through various fields and countryside. The log burner was a very welcome addition and kept the chill off.
I kinda liked this site but much needs improvement .A dedicated large shower block is needed desperately . Portable shower blocks and toilets don't cut it , too many campers... read more for small facilities , I appreciate the attempt to add more portaloos ...but to be fair just not nice to go . Unfortunately we found the site too noisy !! But I guess it depends on the people who are there .The pitches are pretty close together ,the staff were a bit over zealous but the best person on the site was the burger van guy he is was a legend superb customer service great food !! Unfortunately we won't be returning .
